What is Ongoing Drug Supply?
You can be charged with ongoing drug supply if you have supplied a prohibited drug other than cannabis to someone on three or more separate occasions within a 30-day timeframe.
In order to successfully charge you for ongoing drug supply, the police must prove that you received material or financial benefit from the supply, for yourself rather than for another person, or persons.
You can’t be charged with ongoing drug supply for giving drugs to friends for free, or supplying them on behalf of someone else.
Ongoing supply carries a $385,000 fine and/or 20 years imprisonment.
